About this design:

Opals form as a thin layer on various types of host rocks, or matrices. Occasionally, this matrix will be kept visible to add dimension to a set of opals, like the ones you see here. The featured river rock textured gold was cast using an impression of an actual rock from the White River. Opal is a birthstone for October.
